Seven Oaks School Division

Seven Oaks School Division serves a community of nine thousand students in Winnipeg’s diverse and culturally rich area of northwest Winnipeg. Seven Oaks’ twenty schools are organized as early years, middle years, kindergarten to grade eight and senior years schools. French Immersion is generally offered in a dual track setting with one milieu school. Ukrainian and Hebrew bilingual programs are offered at early and middle years schools.

Seven Oaks sees education as vital to the quality of our community life and our democracy.

Seven Oaks believes in its teachers. We value their professionalism and take pride in their work with children. Teaching is founded on caring and reflection is fundamental to ongoing professional development.

Interlake School Division

The Interlake School Division encompasses an area of approximately 1088 square miles stretching from north of Winnipeg to Teulon, east to Stony Mountain and west to Woodlands.

French Immersion is being offered at École R. W. Bobby Bend School for Kindergarten to grade four and at École Stonewall Centennial School for grade five. The program will expand to grade eight over the next three years with a decision for French Immersion high school programming to be made by 2017.

The Division also offers full-day Kindergarten and Multi-level programming at Brant Argyle School.

The Interlake School Division is comprised of three collegiates (Stonewall, Teulon and Warren), all of which support Industrial Arts, Home Economics, Music programs, and achieve excellence in all sports. We have provincial champion teams in badminton, volleyball, basketball, track and field, hockey and soccer. We have two middle years schools (Grosse Isle and École Stonewall Centennial ) and eight elementary schools (Balmoral, Argyle, Rosser, École R. W. (Bobby) Bend in Stonewall, Stony Mountain, Teulon, Warren and Woodlands). Kindergarten is available in all regions. We also maintain eight Hutterite Colony schools across the division.

With a total student population of 2796 students, we employ 229 FTE teachers and 275 support staff. We are proud to maintain a respectable pupil-to-teacher ratio. Special needs students are supported and provided with extra staff. There are student service teams in every school and divisional support exists in the form of child psychology, speech pathology, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. In addition, the division runs an off-campus program called the The Infinity Program (T.I.P.). Our Continuing Education program offers a wide variety of courses for all interests. We have a fleet of 40 regular school buses to transport our 1500 bus students, traveling approximately 1 million kilometres per year!

Our School Division Administration Offices are located in Stonewall, which is approximately 25 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
