*New for Fall 2023* - Registrations for ALL the Recreation Programs offered by the RM of West St. Paul will be done ONLINE though the Univerus Program Registration System.

To register, you must have an active client account.  You must CREATE a new client account if you have never used the system before.  After you create an account, an email will be sent to the email address provided to activate your account.  For parents enrolling children into programs please be sure to create a family account with yourself as the billing client and your children as family members.


West St. Paul Recreation partners with numerous groups to offer great Programming Opportunities to the Community!  For these Programs offered at the Access Centre, please check out the Program Options below to find out how to register.

Payments can be dropped off:

  • In the drop-box outside the RM of West St. Paul Municipal Office at 3550 Main St. West St. Paul
  • In the mailbox slot of the office door at the Access Centre

Please put payments in an envelope marked with your name and the program you are paying for

Payment can also be submitted the first day of the program, except for those that require pre-payment

If you bank with a Credit Union an Online E-Payment (this is like paying a Bill Online) can be submitted - this is NOT an E-Transfer

Come out & get active during FREE unstructured Gym Time! Various Gym Equipment is available to use.

THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN ATTENDING OPEN GYM:
- Individuals taking part must CLEAN-UP when done using the equipment and leave equipment room tidy
- ADULTS MUST STAY & SUPERVISE THEIR CHILDREN IN THE GYMNASIUM AT ALL TIMES
- Those attending a timeslot with children outside of the intended age group, please be respectful of all other participants and ensure that the older children are playing safely with others and all of the equipment

Yoga
Join Heather for a 1hr "flow” class which will focus on the practice of Vinyasa Yoga. Poses will be strung together in a progression that will link movement with breath to anchor you & form the connection between the mind & body. Get a great workout with one of the most popular styles of Yoga, which is non-competitive & will be modified to the participants specific level of practice.  Please join us! ZUMBA
Ditch the workout and join the PARTY! Check out this dance fitness class that will keep your feet movin’ & your body shakin’ to the beat. Zumba integrates aerobic exercise & resistance training to burn calories, improve cardiovascular health while toning the body.

Kidz Dance - Ages 4-6yrs (must be 4 in 2023)
Learn some beginner steps in this fun class that will introduce participants to a variety of dance techniques. Kidz Dance will be held in the Mezzanine Level, only dancers can be in the Class Space but parents will need to stay at the Facility during class in the Lobby Area.

NOTE: We can only hold Camp on Divisional In-Service Days due to staffing needs and on Fridays due to other facility users.

Kreative Kiddos - Ages 5-9yrs
Each session will be a different activity, such as art, crafts or science, where you are encouraged to be "kreative" while learning something new!  Kreative Kiddos will be held upstairs in the Mezzanine Level.  Parents do not have to stay for the duration of the session.  If parents do stay on-site, we ask them to wait in the Lobby Area of the Facility.

Stroller Fitness with Peg Family Fitness

Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges.  The Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe course teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations. Course Content: The importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself; The importance of setting and following safety rules when on your own; How to stay safe at home and within the community; How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations (e.g., inclement weather, strangers, and unanticipated visits); Basic first aid skills

The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth ages 11-15yrs old.  Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups and how to prevent and respond to emergencies.  The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families. Course Content: How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership; How to make good decisions & manage difficult behaviours; Info on children’s development & specific strategies for each stage; How to feed, diaper, dress and play with children & babies; How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours; First aid skills; The business of babysitting
