PUBLIC NOTICE
RESIDENTS
THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY
OF WEST ST. PAUL
ADULT MOSQUITO FOGGING
The RM of West St. Paul will begin adult mosquito control (Mosquito Fogging) within targeted areas of the RM of West St. Paul due to the high number of nuisance mosquitoes.
The pesticide product to be used is DeltaGard 20EW dispersed by an ultra low volume cold aerosol fogger.
Presuming weather conditions are conducive, the ground based fogging will occur during the late evening and early morning starting no earlier than Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. If spraying is cancelled due to weather conditions, it will be carried out as soon as weather permits spraying to be continued.
The area targeted for spraying includes the entire Municipality. Spraying may include private roadways and field roads that are located to the rear of dwellings or sub-divisions.
People
who wish to minimize their exposure to DeltaGard 20EW can take the following precautions:
¨
Close all windows and doors
¨
Stay away from working trucks while spraying is
underway
¨
Fans and air conditioners should be turned off or set
at exhaust
¨
Remove clothes and children’s toys from outdoor areas
¨ Wash any household items or toys left outside before using them and ensure fruits and vegetables are washed
Continue to protect yourself from mosquitoes by using appropriate mosquito repellent, reducing time spent outdoors when mosquitoes are active, especially between dusk and dawn, wear light colored, long sleeved, loose fitting clothing, and remove standing water.
