West St. Paul, Selkirk Mayors in Canada Day Arm Wrestling Challenge!
Arm wrestling makes its debut at West St. Paul’s Canada Day celebrations this year and a celebrity match featuring West St. Paul Mayor Peter Truijen taking on Selkirk Mayor Larry Johannson will be a fun highlight!
Besides the Mayor vs. Mayor match, there will be categories for kids and adults.
West St. Paul Coun. Mike Pagtakhan coordinated the event with the Manitoba Arm Wrestling Association.
"This will be a fun family friendly activity for youth, men and women,” Pagtakhan said.
Registration is free and takes place from 8am – 11am during the Pancake Breakfast at the Access Centre lobby. Competition will be held beside the Main Stage.
Youth Tournament Starts at noon.
Adult Tournament Starts after youth tournament.
Canadian Arm-Wrestling Federation trained referees will be on hand to keep all matches safe and fair. This is a Manitoba Arm-Wrestling Association sanctioned event.
