Facility & Capacity

The facility offers a premier space for large-scale gatherings, featuring a combined gymnasium and lobby capacity of 557 patrons.

 

Note: This is significantly larger than most community centers in the area, which typically accommodate 300–400 guests. Rental fees remain competitive with other major venues like the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain and Maples Community Centre Arena.

Social Event Rental Rates

*Proof of residency (e.g., Driver’s License, Manitoba Health Card) is required at the time of booking to receive the resident rate. A copy will be kept on record.


What’s Included

The rental fee is comprehensive, covering essential staffing and supplies:

  • Space & Furniture: Use of designated facility areas, including tables and chairs.

  • Professional Staff: Dedicated bartending and security personnel.

  • Mix & Supplies: 2L Pepsi products (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7Up, Ginger Ale), ice, 7oz liquor cups, and 15oz beer cups.

  • Equipment: Coffee percolators.

  • Cleanup: Post-event take-down of all tables and chairs.


Renter Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth event, renters are responsible for:

  • Setup & Decor: All decorating and setup during allotted times (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM).

  • Cleaning: Wiping down tables/chairs after use and a full cleaning of the kitchen and bar area.

  • Licensing: Securing a required Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Occasional Liquor Permit.

  • Supplies: Providing all alcohol, specialty mixers (OJ, cranberry, club soda), garnishes, coffee/tea, and catering supplies.

  • Pack-out: Removing all personal items immediately following the event.

Facility Access Note:

Set-up is permitted between 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM, the facility is locked and alarmed. Event staff will return at 7:00 PM to re-open for your event.


Liability Insurance

Renters are not covered under the RM's municipal insurance. It is strongly recommended to obtain liability insurance (minimum $2,000,000), naming The Rural Municipality of West St. Paul as additionally insured.

Booking & Payment

  1. Agreement: A signed Facility Rental Agreement is required to secure your date.

  2. Deposit: A $735.00 non-refundable deposit is due at signing (applied to your total).

  3. Final Balance: The remaining balance plus a $300.00 refundable damage deposit is due 21 days before the event.

 

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Debit / Cash: Exact change required for cash.

  • Cheque: Payable to RM of West St. Paul.

  • E-Transfer: Send to finance@weststpaul.com (Please include your name and event date in the message).
