Embrace the winter magic at our Winter Family Fun Day! We have a full lineup of activities for every speed. Help a great cause by bringing a dog food donation for the rescue!
Activity Highlights
Meet Adoptable Dogs (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Penny's All-Breed Animal Rescue will be on-site with some adorable furry friends looking for their forever homes.
Snowmobile Rides (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Experience the thrill of the snow with an exciting guided ride, in coordination with South Interlike Snoriders Club.
Tobogganing (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Grab your sled and fly down the hills for classic winter thrills!
Family Skate (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Lace up your skates and hit the ice for some fresh air and exercise.
Free Ski Library (1:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Want to try cross-country skiing? Visit our library to borrow gear and hit the trails - RSVP https://winterpeg.org/events/ski-for-free-at-west-st-paul/
Indoor Family Movie (3:30 PM): Settle in and warm up with a FREE special afternoon screening of The Bad Guys 2 - bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
Book Readings (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Get inspired by stories shared by a talented local author, Meagan Balgobin-Sookram
Puzzle Swap and Sale (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Find a new challenge or trade in your old favorites.
Craft Station (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Let your creativity shine with hands-on projects for all ages.
Family Board Games (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Thaw out with some friendly competition and tabletop games with the family.
Pack Your Bag: Winter Fun Checklist
We want you to have the best day possible! To make the most of the day, we recommend bringing these items:
Outdoor Gear & Safety
For the Rink: Your ice skates and a CSA-approved helmet (strongly recommended for all skaters).
For the Hills: Your favorite toboggan or sled.
For the Ski Library: We recommend wearing wool or synthetic socks to keep toes toasty in the ski boots.
Clothing Essentials
Dress in Layers: Use a moisture-wicking base, a warm fleece, and a waterproof outer shell.
The "Dry Feet" Kit: An extra pair of dry socks and mittens is a lifesaver for when kids come inside.
Indoor Comfort: Feel free to bring indoor shoes or slippers to wear during the movie and crafts.
Event Specifics
Puzzle Swap: Don’t forget to bring any puzzles you’d like to trade!
Donations: Remember your dog food donation for Penny's All-Breed Animal Rescue.
Movie Snacks: We'll have treats available, but feel free to bring a reusable water bottle.
