Garbage, Recycling & Yard Waste

The RM of West St. Paul takes pride in keeping our community clean.  The Municipality uses automated carts for its garbage and recycling collection program for residential customers and offers bi-weekly yard waste collection beginning the week of May 1st and ending the week of October 31st. Bi-weekly yard waste collection will alternate with homes on the west side of Main Street collected one week and the homes on the east side of Main Street collected the following week.

Please ensure that you have your garbage and recycling carts and yard waste are spaced properly at the curb by 7:00am on your pick up date.

How to place your carts for collection:
  • Place the cart with the back wheels against the curb or edge of the road
  • Point the cart with the lid opening towards the center of the road or lane.
  • Space them one arm's length clearance (one meter or 39 inches) on all sides of the cart.  This is to allow enough room for the collection truck to grab your cart.
  • Look up—avoid placing your cart under hydro or telephone wires, basketball hoops, awnings and tree limbs
