Public Notice - Curbside Waste, Recycling & Yard Waste Collection

The RM of West St. Paul would like to remind residents that the updated curbside collection schedule may affect not only collection days for some households, but also the time at which collection vehicles arrive in each area.

To ensure successful collection of garbage, recycling, and yard waste, all carts and approved materials must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled collection day, in accordance with Section 10.1 of the RM’s Solid Waste By-Law.

Residents are also reminded that sod is not considered yard waste and is not permitted in paper yard waste bags for curbside collection. A number of recent collections have been rejected due to sod being included with yard waste materials.

Accepted yard waste materials include:

• Grass clippings
• Leaves
• Garden plants and weeds
• Small branches and twigs

Sod, soil, rocks, and other landscaping materials are not accepted through the curbside yard waste program. These materials may be properly disposed of at the Prairie Green Landfill Facility in the RM of Rosser.
