Position Objectives:

What You’ll Do

As a Community Safety Officer, you’ll enforce municipal by-laws and select provincial statutes, patrol the community, investigate complaints, and promote public safety through education and engagement.

  • Enforce municipal by-laws and applicable provincial statutes
  • Patrol the community and investigate alleged breaches
  • Issue warnings, tickets, and prepare reports for court proceedings
  • Attend court as required and provide accurate testimony
  • Promote awareness and compliance through education and outreach
  • Collaborate with RCMP and other enforcement partners
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare status reports

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Grade 12 education with 1–3 years of experience in enforcement or security
  • Completion of a recognized Community/By-Law Officer training program or willingness to obtain
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, RCMP security clearance and driver’s abstract required
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to write clear and accurate reports, competent with Microsoft Office and enforcement software
