Notice of Election

Notice is hereby given that a vote of the RM of West St. Paul will be taken to elect Mayor, Councillors, and School Trustee from the following duly nominated candidates:

VOTING PLACES

Voting places will be open for voting on Election Day, Wednesday, October 28, 2026 between 8:00am and 8:00pm for Wards 1 and 2 at the Access Center (48 Holland Road) and for Ward 3 at the Seven Oaks Learning and Service Centre (1985 Grassmere Road) and for Ward 4 at the Southeast Wellness Lodge (225 Masters Avenue).

IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE.  A person is required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.

ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located on the following dates and locations:

Saturday, October 17 from 9:00am to 6:00pm - Seven Oaks Learning and Service Centre - 1985 Grassmere Road

Sunday, October 18 from 12 noon to 4:00pm - Seven Oaks Learning and Service Centre - 1985 Grassmere Road

Monday, October 19 from 8:00am to 8:00pm – Access Centre - 48 Holland Road

MOBILE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but reside at a health care or other facility, a mobile voting station will be set up at the facilities for residents only:

Wednesday, October 28 from 10:00am to 2:00pm - Middlechurch Home - 280 Balderstone Road

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by email to the senior election official at elections@weststpaul.com or at the Fire Hall Election Office, 3550 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. R4A 5A3.

If applying in person*, a voter may apply between September 30, 2026 and October 17, 2026 with an appointment made at elections@weststpaul.com or 204 338-0306 ext. 208.

* A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.

** A voter applying by mail or email will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the Senior Election Official.
