Beware of Thin Ice

As temperatures begin to rise, ice on retention ponds and other bodies of water in the RM of West St. Paul is becoming unstable and extremely dangerous. Even if the ice appears solid, it may not support weight and could give way without warning. For your safety and the safety of others, please stay off all ice and keep pets and children away from these areas.

Property owners with riverfront or low-lying land are encouraged to monitor water levels closely and take necessary precautions to protect their property.
