When should I contact the RM instead of the RCMP?

Contact the RM for municipal by-law concerns and non-emergency community or traffic safety concerns that fall within the responsibilities of By-Law Enforcement or Community Safety Officers.

Contact the RCMP for matters requiring police assistance, including suspected criminal activity.

For an emergency or immediate threat to public safety, call 9-1-1.
