Why does West St. Paul have Community Safety Officers if we already have the RCMP?

Community Safety Officers provide the RM with an additional resource focused on local community safety priorities, including proactive patrols, traffic safety, education, prevention and enforcement.

CSOs complement, but do not replace, the RCMP.
