Notice of Public Hearing: RM of West St. Paul Withdrawing from the Red River Planning District

 

The Council of the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul has scheduled a Public Hearing to be held in person on:

Monday, July 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
In Council Chambers located at

3550 Main Street, West St. Paul, Manitoba.


The Public Hearing is to receive representations, questions and register support or objection from any persons who wish to make them in relation to the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul withdrawing from the Red River Planning District and establishing an independent department to deliver planning services such as development and secondary plans, zoning by-laws and building permits.

 

Following the Public Hearing, Council will consider the matter and will determine whether to make a formal application to the Minister of Municipal and Northern Relations to be removed from the Red River Planning District.

 

Any person who wishes to make representation, ask questions or register support or objection to Council during the Public Hearing must register by email or by mail prior to 3:00 p.m. on July 13, 2026, at info@weststpaul.com, or RM of West St. Paul, 3550 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB R4A 5A3.

 

Please note that all registrants will be given a 10 minute time slot in which they may present. Written statements can also be submitted in advance of the Public Hearing and must also be received by email or by mail prior to 3:00 p.m. on July 13, 2026, at info@weststpaul.com, or RM of West St. Paul, 3550 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB R4A 5A3.
