Civil Co-op Student

Start Date: May 2026 (or aligned with academic co-op term)

Are you a motivated student looking for hands‑on experience in municipal engineering and field operations? Join the RM of West St. Paul’s Operations Department and support real‑world projects that help maintain our community’s transportation, drainage, and utility infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Collect materials for analysis during gravel placement, dust control, and paving projects.
• Inspect transportation and drainage projects for conformance to standards and specifications.
• Conduct GPS‑based field data collection and condition assessments of municipal assets.
• Assist the GIS Administrator with GIS data maintenance and asset integration.
• Prepare condition assessment reports and support project documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or Construction Management.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with ESRI Field Maps or AutoCAD is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
