Preparing for Inclement Weather
The RM of West St. Paul is preparing for significant snowfall, with 15–25 cm expected beginning this evening (February 17) and continuing through Thursday, February 19.
Public Works staff will be on call and working as conditions allow to clear and maintain municipal roadways. We ask residents for patience as crews work through periods of heavy precipitation and limited visibility.
Residents are reminded to avoid parking on streets during and after the snowfall to ensure snow-clearing equipment can operate efficiently and safely.
Please note that PTH 9 (Main Street), PTH 8 (McPhillips Street), PR 220 (Blackdale Road), PR 409 (Grassmere Road), PR 321 (Miller Roadand Rushman Road), and PTH 101 (Perimeter Highway) are provincial roadways. These highways are maintained, plowed, and sanded by the Province of Manitoba, not the RM of West St. Paul.
Residents are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel during inclement weather when possible. Staying home helps keep roads safer for emergency services and snow clearing operations. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
