Councillor Ward 3
Dorothy and her husband Arnold have lived in West St. Paul for over 30 years and have raised both their children Michael and Jacqueline in the community.
Dorothy is a former banker, retired teacher, and currently works as an account manager. She obtained both her Arts Degree and Education Degree from the University of Winnipeg. She has been active in the community serving on large boards such as Ducks Unlimited, and her children’s sports teams, as well as serving on the board of directors for the Seven Oaks Hospital Daycare. She also successfully lobbied the provincial government for $1,000,000 in funding for pediatric speech therapy, and helped with the reorganization of speech therapy departments.
As a newly elected member of council, Dorothy would like to see strong fiscal planning and budgeting along with council review of development agreements. She would also like to see service for road, drainage, paving, and culverts to be a high priority for taxpayers along with thoughtful development that considers the taxpayer and the country lifestyle of West St. Paul.
Dorothy is committed to an open, transparent, and accountable council who considers the taxpayer in all decisions, now and well into the future.
