Property and business owners are advised that the 2026 Realty and Business Tax Bills have been mailed. Taxes are due on September 29, 2026, by 4:30 p.m. If you have not received your tax bill, please contact the Municipal Office at 204-338-0306.

In order to avoid penalties, payments must be received by the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul on or before 4:30 p.m. on September 29, 2026. Penalties will be charged at the rate of 1.25% per month on any unpaid amounts beyond the due date.

Please note that if you are paying your taxes at your financial institution or online, allow five (5) business days for the amount to be received by the municipality. It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to ensure that their online payment is received at the Municipal Office by the due date.

New property owners are reminded that they are responsible for payment of the 2026 realty taxes whether or not they have received a tax notice in their name.

Homeowners Affordability Tax Credit

The Homeowners Affordability Tax Credit (HATC) provides eligible Manitoba homeowners with a credit of up to $1,600 applied directly to their property tax bill.

If you did not receive the HATC on your 2026 property tax bill, eligible homeowners may claim the credit when filing their 2026 income tax return.

To have the HATC applied directly to your 2027 property tax bill, eligible homeowners who have not previously applied must submit an HATC application by March 31, 2027. Application forms can be found on the Property Tax page.

If you previously applied for the HATC, you do not need to reapply. The credit will continue to be applied automatically each year, provided you remain eligible.
