West St. Paul Fire Department holds Open House

Members of the West St. Paul Fire Department held their annual Open House on Sept. 9 at the Fire Hall and gave residents a glimpse into the world of a firefighter.

Firefighters demonstrated vehicle extraction, took visitors through the fire safety trailer and had a number of interactive displays. Sparky was on hand to welcome one and all and a barbecue kept everyone well fed.

"On behalf of the West St. Fire Department we would like to thank everyone who was able to attend our annual Open House this past Sunday afternoon,” said Fire Chief Ryan Yackel.

"It was an overwhelming success and we hope everyone had a great time.”
