West St. Paul Youth Sports & Recreation Committee
The RM of West St. Paul/Sunova Centre is proud to host Youth Sports – such as Hockey, Soccer, Mini Soccer, Baseball and Softball

The West St. Paul Recreation Committee, which includes the core Committee Chair Members as well as the dedicated Sports Conveners, is responsible for:
  • Administrating recreational activities and organized youth sports in the community
  • Administrating youth registrations in hockey, soccer and baseball and any other organized youth sports as determined in the future
  • Promoting fundraising activities for future development and/or growth of the RM of West St. Paul
  • Communicating with the residents of the RM of West St. Paul to determine the need for recreational activities and organized youth sports, and make them aware of the recreational activities and sports programs currently being offered
Registration for Softball/Baseball/Mini Soccer/Soccer is usually held in late February/early March
 
Registration for Hockey/Indoor Soccer is usually held in late August.

PROGRAM CHANGES from HOCKEY WINNIPEG:
  • All Novice games will be played on a modified ice surface until December 31.
  • The Minor Bantam division has been eliminated for A1 to A3, but will remain for AAA and AA.
  • For A1 to A3 teams, 13 and 14 year olds will be combined to form teams. There will still be body contact at A1, but not at A2 and A3, as per last season.
  • The Minor Midget (15 yr. old) division has been eliminated for A1 to A3. The Midget division will now be 15, 16 & 17 year old players.
  • Body contact will still be played in the Midget A1 category, but has been eliminated in Midget A2 and A3 categories.
