Important Reminder: Paying Property Taxes and Utility Bills Through Online Banking
We've recently seen an increase in payments being sent to the incorrect online banking payee. To help ensure your payment is applied correctly, please review the information below before making your payment.
Property Tax Payments
When paying your property taxes through online banking:
- On your mobile banking app, search for “West St Paul” as a payee.
- Select the West St Paul "Taxes" or "Property Tax" payee.
- Enter your complete property roll number, excluding the decimal, as the account number.
Utility Payments
When paying your utility bill through online banking:
- On your mobile banking app, search for “West St Paul” as a payee.
- Select the West St Paul "Utilities" payee.
- Enter your complete utility account number, including the last four digits, as the account number.
Please note:
- The payee name may vary by financial institution but should reference the Rural Municipality of West St. Paul and the appropriate Taxes or Utilities account.
- Property taxes and utilities are set up as two separate bill payees with your financial institution. Sending a payment to the incorrect payee may result in interest fees.
- Payments made through your financial institution may take up to five (5) business days to process. Please allow sufficient time for your payment to be received by the Municipality before the due date.
